Seeing is believing....Way to go T!

Back in November when my best friend, T, packed up and headed back to Vegas I knew it was the best thing for her and her kids. Hell no, I didn’t want them to go but I knew it was the only way to get my best friend back. Fast forward to February 15th (My 40th Birthday), my birthday present to myself was a trip to Vegas to see my best friend and her kids. Heading down the final escalator in the Vegas airport, there is my best friend and guess what? She is back! She is happy and yes I seen all that on the trip down the escalator. I had noticed the change in her voice on all the millions of phone conversations that we have had since November, but seeing is believing. The hurt, disgust and all the pain in her eyes that I had seen so many times over the past few years was gone. My buddy is back, Happy Birthday to me!!!! But wait the presents didn’t stop there. We get back to her apartment, and I get to see my little buddies the first time since November. Again happy birthday to me! I hear little man yell Red and then I get all the hugs. Just like with T, I see the change on their faces, especially their eyes.

I never had any doubt, that T would make it happen, but I can say that as usual she has impressed the hell out of me.

T, I am so proud of you and what you have accomplished in such a short period of time. Thanks again for a great birthday. I am ready to start planning the next trip to the big city and next time it will be longer so we can spend more quality time together and I can attempt to kick your ass in pool, which I was very, very, very, very unsuccessful at doing this time.
